Alex MacIntyre Memorial Hut, Onich

The Alex MacIntyre Memorial Hut is jointly owned by Mountaineering Scotland and the BMC. It's situated at North Ballachulish and can sleep 16 people. 16 beds are available in 5 rooms. Upstairs: 2 with 3 beds, and 2 with Alpine style sleeping platforms. Downstairs: small room presently with 1 bed. Mattresses are provided, but no pillows or blankets.

  • More Info:North Ballachulish on the A82, one mile north of the Ballachulish bridge, 50m past the entrance to Creag Mhor Lodge. Grid reference NN044611 on OS sheet 41, Ben Nevis. Postcode (sat nav) PH33 6RY. Look out for the green painted fence. The car park is at the rear of the building and is accessed from the main road via a narrow lane - see picture.
